How was CASA developed?
The App and administrative website were developed by a software development team at iRT with input from pediatricians and parents.

How are the screening questionnaires selected?
Pediatricians can select from a library of tests that screen for emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders in children from birth through age 17. They can set up a standard battery of questionnaires to use in their practice on the administrative website.

Can parents report on more than one child?
Yes! The App will be set up in advance by the office staff and parents will be able to select which child to respond to questions about. If there is more than one child present at the well-child visit, parents will complete questionnaires about one child and then, complete a set of questionnaires about the other child.

Will this add more work for my staff?
No. Office staff will enroll each family into the CASA website and based upon the child’s age and gender, a set of questionnaires will be automatically selected for the parent to complete. Office staff will put in the child’s date of birth and then provide a tablet to the parent. In addition, office staff will save time because they will not have to hand enter or score any questionnaires. Instead, with MACHA, the data from the questionnaires will be automatically entered and score via the App and administrative website.

Does the App or website require internet?
The App is offline and does not require any internet. Thus, when placed on a tablet, there will be no need for WiFi and no access to outside websites. The administrative website for office staff and providers will require internet.

How secure is the App and administrative website?
Parents will only be able to complete assessments on their own child. They will not be able to view any other patient information. Once an assessment has been completed and submitted, the App will no longer display the assessment, nor will it display any responses or scoring results. Data will be encrypted when being transmitted from the App to the administrative dashboard. Only providers will have access to the parents’ responses via the administrative website.
